When you enter the House of Truth it is because you are ready to live authentically. This is the point of engagement upon the journey. Agrimony has been indicated for those who do not acknowledge their feelings of pain and torment, but repress and deny their feelings. This acknowledgment is not advised for the purposes of wallowing, but rather so that old inner clutter can be released. Many times, those who cannot access this house, have turned to alcohol or drugs to help mask feelings that are too difficult to face. Substance abuse isn’t the only indication of perhaps needing some Agrimony essence. Other avoidance techniques can come into play: an addiction to TV, overeating to numb emotional pain, as well as any other activity to ensure the repression of feelings. Those who can benefit from entering the House of Truth are driven to avoid confronting their shadows at all costs. They shy away from confrontation out of fear of “annoying” another, all the while silencing their own needs. The House of Truth is suggested for use when in counseling, as it facilitates openness in getting in touch with what has been repressed or denied and releases buried issues, allowing emotional healing to take place.
