the story:

It was the eve of a Scorpio moon when a local community member contacted me asking for companionship in her process of an at-home abortion. Well-advised by her physician and a naturopathic doctor, I rose to the call. In the process of packing to go on my journey of holding space, I decided to craft an essence that would support us both through this — The 13th Sign was then born. Months prior to this, on March 13th, a Friday the 13th with a moon in Scorpio, I had crafted an essence blend with Snakeskin, Poke, and Star of Bethlehem which came forward as support after a personal experience I’d had with death and dying. These three essences had done a potent work within me; facilitating safe space to grieve and purge through my emotional expressions, all the while gifting me with visions of renewed futures. This is an essence that one of my ancestors explained to be effective for works of unblocking the energetic system and purifying input and output channels so that our flow is more crystalline and aligned with true character and basis of being. Combined with Poke and Star of Bethlehem, this is one which is also ideal for transmuting personal and ancestral grief. Poke and Star of Bethlehem are both known to help us make changes on an acute and cellular level — this quality offers us sustained transitions and the evolution that they bring. Star of Bethlehem soothes the heart after shocks leave one feeling stuck or in a state of subconscious flight, promoting groundness in our center and innerstanding of the reasoning behind what has occurred. This essence encourages inner strength. Poke also contributes to this by providing us with the vigor to overcome emotional and mental obstacles, those deep-seated issues which seem to keep us stuck in loops of repetitive behaviors and reactions. Poke also serves as a mutually beneficial accomplice — Poke essence helps us to tap into our ancestors and become aware not only of how they are guiding us but also how they seek to be healed or what sorts of actions we can take to further liberate them into a resting state so that they can be properly elevated. Thus, this is a blend that can be used not only when one is seeking to accept the dying and death, but also when we wish to make offerings to those who have transitioned and are unsure of where to start. Poke and Cerasee together with Star of Bethlehem is a true formula for massive upgrades. With these as supportive we are able to allow old habits, ways, forms, and shapes to die with grace while we look forward with trust in what the waves of adjustment might bring in. In the metamorphosis, there is great promise — nothing can ever be the same anymore, things can only be better, life can only be more refined, and for this we are thankful. This essence fertilizes the ground for what we do want to see growing.
